ANR Group Inc is accepting resumes for an Industrial Hygienist Located in Richland, WA.

Initially anticipated to be a one-year assignment with the potential for extension. The hourly rate range for this position is $29-$64 per hour (plus full benefits) with overtime paid at time and ½ for hours worked over 40 in one week. Client allows for reimbursement of mobilization, daily per diem and M&IE, monthly trips home and demobilization.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK – SPECIFIC

Implementing and administering project industrial hygiene programs affecting employee, public safety and occupational health. Serves as a resource for line management to administer a proactive prevention program for occupational accidents and illnesses; under limited supervision performs moderately complex technical work in a wide range of industrial hygiene disciplines to achieve compliance with ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements; exhibits knowledge and applies advanced concepts, practices and procedures of industrial hygiene; develops, implements and maintains industrial hygiene programs, systems and procedures; monitors and prevents hazards and diseases that could be found in the work area; investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace; recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures and operating equipment to minimize hazards; develops and conducts employee training, emergency preparedness and assures the quality of programs; provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice; may provide guidance for a team of ES&H specialists and/or support personnel.

• Provides technical assistance to office and field operations to ensure compliance with applicable international, Federal, State, and/or Company health and safety regulations.
• Conducts compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure that regulatory environmental, safety and health standards of the Company and all applicable codes are followed.
• Recommends facilities and technological specifications to carry out programs that fulfill the organization's overall objectives.
• Prepares and reviews technical reports, correspondence and program compliance documents.
Establishes and maintains permits as required.
• Meets applicable regulatory codes and standards where required.
• Develops and implements IH programs including IH processes, procedures and/or specifications.
• Develops IH training programs and conducts IH training meetings as necessary.
• Performs statistical analysis of IH data.
• Trains and assists subordinate industrial hygienists in sampling and assessment methodologies.
• Conducts and assists projects with sampling, monitoring, data interpretation and occupational health surveys to ensure compliance with established programs.
• Industrial Hygienists III are expected to pursue and/or complete an ABIH Certification in Industrial Hygiene (CIH).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors of Science in Occupational e.g. (Safety, Health ,Industrial Hygiene) from an accredited university or college with at least 6 years relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree,12 years’ experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing or petroleum refining environment.
• Must possess the right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
• ABIH Certification (CIH)
• Experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing or petroleum refining environment.
• Experience in developing Industrial Hygiene programs and procedures.
