Spectra Tech has an immediate need for a Q Cleared Associate Scientist in Livermore, CA.

To be considered for certification, a candidate should satisfy the following criteria

NDT Level 1 and II:
Candidates for Digital Radioscopy are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of training and shall have acquired suitable education and practical experience to assure they are capable of performing the prescribed duties. NDT Level I and II candidates shall require a minimum of 175 hours of practical work experience

(2) NDT Level III.

To be considered for certification, a candidate should satisfy one of the following criteria for the applicable NDT level

(a) Have graduated from a minimum four-year college or university curriculum with a degree in engineering or science, plus one year’s experience in Digital Radioscopy, beyond the requirements of a NDT Level II in an assignment comparable to a NDT Level II or:

(b) Have completed with passing grades at least two years of engineering or science study at a university, college, or technical school, plus two years’ experience beyond the NDT Level II requirements in Digital Radioscopy in an assignment comparable to that of a NDT Level II or:

(c) Have four years’ experience beyond the NDT level II requirements in Digital Radioscopy in an assignment comparable to that of a NDT Level II or:

(d) Hold a current ASNT NDT Level III certificate in the relevant method

(3) NDT Level II limited: An NDT Level II limited, henceforth referred to as NDT Level II, individual shall be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications and procedures that are approved by the Level III. The NDT Level II shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees. The NDT Level II should be able to organize and report the results of NDT tests.

Due to the nature of the work and the requirement of the Q clearance, US citizenship is required.
