[Construction Manager] Construction Manager - URENCO - 8808

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Construction Manager opportunity in Eunice, NM at Urenco USA (UUSA) National Enrichment Facility.

Work Location: On-Site at Urenco
Per diem is available for those who qualify.

UUSA, operated by Louisiana Energy Services LLC, is the only commercial enrichment facility operating in the US, and is located in Eunice, New Mexico.

Duties:
Pre-Construction Phase: Review project designs, specifications, and contract documents. Participate in project planning, walkdowns and scheduling. Assist in developing construction budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Coordinate with design teams to ensure constructability and compliance with regulations. Review and approve subcontractor bids and proposals.
Construction Phase: Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site. Oversee and coordinate all construction activities. Implement and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion. Review and approve materials, equipment, and labor used in construction. Ensure contractors/vendors are complying with site work processes, procedures and safety programs. Monitor quality control and ensure work meets industry standards and project specifications. Communicate with stakeholders regarding project progress, delays, and any potential changes. Facilitate meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. Review contractor/vendor invoices and change orders for accuracy and validity. Initiate event reports for issues with execution of field work.
Post-Construction Phase: Oversee project closeout, including final inspections, testing, and commissioning. Ensure all punch list items are addressed before project handover. Coordinate and manage final documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation manuals. Conduct project handover and closeout meetings with the client and key stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory approvals and secure all required certifications.
Includes other duties and responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Construction and/or as part of a site modifications group at a nuclear fuel cycle, or a chemical processing facility; of which, at least 3 years being in a construction management role is preferred (8 additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree).
Knowledgeable in the generation and application of project management principles, concepts and techniques including contract generation and implementation.
Knowledgeable of construction principles and problem-solving techniques.
Knowledgeable of long-range project scheduling.
Knowledgeable of vendor contract requirements and capable of validating and enforcing contract and cost compliance.
Ability to provide prioritization, direction and mentoring for team lead / member to solve a variety of problems.
Ability to coordinate and effectively communicate established priorities across multiple groups (vendor) assigned activities.
Ability to determine, communicate and obtain assistance for challenges to completing assigned activities per the schedule
Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required
