Meridian services group is hiring a construction manager in New Mexico. 10-12 months duration. This position offers excellent pay, per diem, and access to company benefits!
The Construction Manager shall perform the following tasks and responsibilities:
Pre-Construction Phase: Review project designs, specifications, and contract documents. Participate in project planning, walkdowns and scheduling. Assist in developing construction budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Coordinate with design teams to ensure constructability and compliance with regulations. Review and approve subcontractor bids and proposals.
Construction Phase: Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site. Oversee and coordinate all construction activities. Implement and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion. Review and approve materials, equipment, and labor used in construction. Ensure contractors/vendors are complying with site work processes, procedures and safety programs. Monitor quality control and ensure work meets industry standards and project specifications. Communicate with stakeholders regarding project progress, delays, and any potential changes. Facilitate meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. Review contractor/vendor invoices and change orders for accuracy and validity. Initiate event reports for issues with execution of field work.
Post-Construction Phase: Oversee project closeout, including final inspections, testing, and commissioning. Ensure all punch list items are addressed before project handover. Coordinate and manage final documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation manuals. Conduct project handover and closeout meetings with the client and key stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory approvals and secure all required certifications.
4. Reporting Structure
The Construction Manager will report directly to the Projects Manager of the project being overseen. This position will also liaise with key internal departments, external vendors, and the client team.
