[Systems Administrator] Configuration Management Database Engineer

EGS is currently seeking applicants for a Configuration Management Database Engineering position supporting the Dept. Of Energy (DOE) in Carlsbad NM at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).  Be part of the nation's only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) Waste. This is a long-term assignment with top competitive rates and full government Per Diem.  Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be US Citizens.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Database management skills with proven results to engineer data applying industry-standard tools for engineering and operations processes. The candidate will need to transform existing designs to integrate solutions with legacy systems. This position requires interaction and coordination with various site organizations, e.g., Work Control, Operations, Maintenance, Regulatory Environmental Services, etc.

Duties:
• System Administrator for DevonWay System Health Report (SHR) module. Supports Engineers with SHR module.
• Maintains module to reflect site personnel assigned to the system.
• Ensures continuous improvement of the SHR module to ensure best functionality for Engineering.
• Designs and develops Engineering software that will ensure continuous improvement in Engineering processes and workflows.
• Supports Engineers with information systems (i.e., ECN register, Computerized History and Maintenance Planning System [CHAMPS], DevonWay, etc.).
• Designs and develops 3D printing models.
• Maintains 3D printer and filament.
• Maintains Engineering software Business Impact Analysis and Performance Impact Analysis.
• Maintains qualification of ASTR-01, Administrative Subcontract Technical Representative, for Engineering.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, or Associate's degree with five (5) years of relevant experience, or
• High School Diploma or Equivalency with eight (8) years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Requirements:
• The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of database technologies, data warehousing, data wrangling and transformation; business intelligence, prescriptive and predictive modeling and analysis, SQL and VBA; and computer system skills.
• Previous WIPP experience is a plus.
