Major Duties / Responsibilities:
· Work with design teams in integrating strong system engineering practices in the design evolution of:
o Requirements development and management.
o Configuration management/change control.
o Interface and configuration model management.
o Deliverables planning and management.
· Review of engineering and manufacturing deliverables (documents, drawings, etc.), procedures, etc.
· Support development and documentation of ITER engineering plans, procedures, deliverables, processes and workflows.
· Coordinate preparations for readiness/design reviews.
· Working in accordance with IO Agreement (Procurement Arrangement).
· Working as US ITER team member with the ITER organization and international partners.
Basic Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study and 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience.
· Solid understanding of systems engineering including requirements management, configuration management, interface control, specification development, and procedure development.
· Experience on large scale, integrated engineering projects throughout the design and manufacturing lifecycle.
· Must be a detail-oriented self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment.
· Must work well with diverse spectrum of personnel (people/soft skillset).
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with members of the organization at all levels and with suppliers.
· Must have effective problem solving, time management, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work fluently with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).

INCOSE certification as a Professional Systems Engineer is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· A Masters degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field with 4 to 6+ years of experience in design, construction and operation of hardware and/or systems
· Knowledge of US ITER and IO procedures is highly desirable.
· Familiarity or experience with fusion energy technology, large electromechanical devices and/or software development
