[Superintendent] Immediate Need - Boilermaker/Piping/Civil/Ironworker Superintendents

Allied Power Services is currently seeking Superintendents (Boilermaker/Piping/Civil/Ironworker) to support their Nuclear contract for the Christopher Crane Clean Energy Center.

Directly responsible for the supervision, assignment, and coordination of mechanical maintenance activities to ensure a productive workforce that supports all divisional, departmental, site, and corporate goals while in accordance with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Interfaces with the department schedulers and planners to plan and execute work. Provides recommendations on training, procedure changes, and other needs to support safe and efficient execution of work activities. Participates as an Emergency Plan team member.

Essential Functions:

1. Managing all mechanical engineers on site to ensure that all assigned activities are performed safely and efficiently by qualified workers in accordance with plant procedures.
2. Responsible for efficient communications in the Mechanical Maintenance department.
3. Drafts budgets and functions within said budget on projects.
4. Responsible for completing projects correct to codes and guidelines, and in a timely manner so as not to endanger workers.
5. Responsible for resolving employee conflicts or concerns.
6. Interfaces with other nuclear sites within the company to maximize shared resources, as well as industry representatives.

Physical Demands:
Physical demands for this position vary. Employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time, as well as climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Exposure to noise, grease, fumes, gases, electrical energy, and inclement weather conditions. Employee may be required to travel. Must frequently lift up to at least 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Required Education, Experience, Certification and Licenses:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
2. 5 years (minimum) of experience in mechanics or related field
3. 2 years (minimum) technical training and proficiency in Mechanical Maintenance area, nuclear generation principles, and operation.
4. SRO or certification on BWR or PWR (preferred)
