Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Flushing & Startup Test Lead opportunity in East TN.

Job Description:

A Test Lead is needed to develop a flush/purge plan for a DOE Nuclear site. The Procedure development will include:
Define for each piping system the required fluids/gases to be used for flushing.
Redline P&IDs to show entry/exit points for flush/purge fluids/gases. Detail what equipment needs to be partially disassembled for injection points and how the temporary connections will be configured.
Show in the procedures and P&IDs all required valve manipulations to ensure proper velocities in each section of pipe/duct/ etc. for flushing/purging. Define what the velocities/pressures must be (min/max) and how they are to be verified (temp measuring instrument etc.)
Establish and procure what the flush debris collection devices (filters etc.) will be, and what the acceptable cleanliness requirements will be (microns on filter media, etc.)
Develop a Functional test plan for all of the installed equipment. This includes working with the process engineers to develop procedures to test the physical equipment to ensure it will function per the design with temporary fluids only. Pumps will run and process fluids to the next section of the process as designed, PLCs work properly to read inputs and provide proper process outputs for equipment. Alarms are tested and set points checked. Test is a function test that the equipment is working, not a full testing protocol for acceptance (that is outside the scope of the turnover effort and owned by ORR).
Define initial calibration/instrument checkout procedures for all instrument types and other equipment (pumps, heaters, HVAC, control loops, Logic Controllers, furnaces, pusher tray sections, centrifuges, glovebox enclosure equipment, etc.)

Coordinate with and develop Test Plans with process engineering to support the Operations Qualifications (OQ) requirements are performed and met.
Prior to turnover, work with Construction to clean up all rooms and equipment to required cleanliness criteria. For equipment such as glove boxes, determine acceptable cleanliness criteria.
Develop as part of the Turnover Procedure the restoration process to return the system to configuration control readiness for each Node and all facility equipment.
Qualifications:
