** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to fill a three- year assignment in the Birmingham, AL area.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Rates: $45.00 - $72.00

Requirements:

• The selected candidate will be expected to work in the office while onboarding and getting familiar with our process and procedures. After that time, they can work remotely
• The candidate needs to reside approximately 1 hr. from Birmingham, AL
• Minimum 5 years of design experience of industrial and/or commercial structural engineering
• Experience with analyzing steel connections
• Professional Engineering registration is a plus, but not required
• Proficient with MathCAD and STAAD Pro
• Working knowledge with ANSYS
• Working knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI codes
• Design experience in transmission structures is a plus, but not required
• Computer skills to be proficient with standard office software applications
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to build working relationships with peers, internal customers and the general public
• Time management skills sufficient to manage multiple projects with various priorities and competing deadlines
• Written and verbal communication skills sufficient to satisfactorily complete project documentation and to function effectively in a team environment
