Title: Industrial Hygiene Technician
Duties:
The purpose of the position is to provide field support for the Industrial Hygiene Program, ensuring Federal, State, Company, and Site requirements regarding exposure to potential physical and chemical hazards to facility personnel. Functions including but not limited to:
• Perform field industrial hygiene evaluations (e.g., heat strain, chemicals);
• Perform worker exposure assessments for chemical and physical hazards;
• Prepare technical reports; and
• Communicate issues and results with employees and management in a professional manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
All candidates shall have 3+ years' experience providing industrial hygiene / technician experience, or 5+ years experience troubleshooting or repairing mechanical equipment or electronics. Candidate shall have operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint). High school diploma or equivalent required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Liquid Waste shall review the Subcontractor personnel resumes.
• May be required to drive government vehicles.
• Will be required to pass testing for Radiological Worker II and maintain IH equipment qualifications
WORK HOURS:
The 40-hour workweek schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate the current demand of work evolutions and shift rotations. Candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules.
