Principal Structural Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Provide technical direction to assigned engineers
· Conduct construction document reviews as required
· Plan, organize, and coordinate structural engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects
· Prepare and review of calculations, drawings, and specifications relating to seismic and wind analyses, foundation design, structural framing analyses and design, and bracing analyses and design
· Experience in renovating/modifying existing facilities is required
· Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required
Basic Job Requirements
· Must be a U.S. Citizen
· Bachelor of Science in engineering with a minimum of 15 years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
· Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design
· Professional Engineer License preferred but not required
