NUCLEAR QC INSPECTOR
Location: Tri-Cities, WA
Duration: 6-12 Months
Hawk is seeking multiple Nuclear Quality Control Inspectors to provide inspection and examination support. The Nuclear Quality Control Inspector reviews work packages to ensure inspection and examination requirements are met based on required codes and standards. This position provides support for internal and external auditing and surveillance activities as assigned.
Specific duties and responsibilities of the Nuclear Quality Control Inspector include, but are not limited to:
Identify required inspection and examination (NDE) requirements.
Perform required inspections and examinations.
Identifies non-conforming issues and concerns and subsequently confers with responsible management to resolve issues and provide recommendations to positively influence quality.
Manage or participate in surveillance activities.
Reviews and evaluates closure of nonconformance reports.
Participate in internal and vendor audits.
Provides analysis of technical and quality issues that arise both internally and from vendors.
Requirements:
Level I NDT Certification in at least one discipline. Level IIs preferred.
Minimum of two years of previous nuclear experience
Bachelor or Associates degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent related experience is desired.
AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) desired.
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills and good leadership skills to manage Quality Assurance oversight activities.
Must be willing and fit to wear a respirator while working.
