Job Description:

Capstone is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Monitoring and Inspection Engineer to perform inspections at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant.


Key Responsibilities:


Structural Monitoring: Analyze data to identify potential issues and predict structural behavior under various conditions.

Inspections: Conduct detailed inspections of plant structures, including reactors, containment buildings, cooling towers, and other critical components, to assess their condition and identify any signs of wear, fatigue, or damage.

Data Analysis: Collect and interpret data from structural monitoring systems, inspections, and other sources to provide actionable insights. Utilize advanced software tools to model and simulate structural performance.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on the condition of plant structures, including recommendations for maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. Present findings to plant management and other stakeholders.

Compliance: Ensure that all monitoring and inspection activities comply with nuclear safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, safety personnel, and plant management to ensure the overall safety and reliability of the nuclear plant.

Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Experience in structural monitoring, inspection, or related engineering roles, preferably within the nuclear or energy sector.

Skills:

Strong understanding of nuclear safety regulations and standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex technical information clearly.

Other Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by the facility.
