Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Engineer (Mechanical/Piping) opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN to support a DOE project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Jobsite documentation (RFIs, change orders, Supplemental Deviation Disposition Request (SDDR), submittals, etc.)
Coordinate with shop and field deliveries of equipment and material.
Assemble estimates and budgets.
Manage subcontractors and vendors.
Attending project meetings.
Write and track purchase orders and subcontracts.
Update project schedules.
Craft productivity tracking.
Act as lead for engineering support to our client regarding the design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level project engineers.
Act as liaison between project management, quality control, senior engineering personnel, shop personnel and field crews.
Maintain project tracking logs for fabrication and equipment installation for schedule incorporation and accurate project reporting.
Develop weld maps in support of field modifications of HVAC duct as required by field installation teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in area of expertise preferred but not required.
A minimum of 3+ Years of experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer; or 5 years of experience in parallel scopes of work.
HVAC and or Piping knowledge experience preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Proficient with learning and applying technical concepts.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and deadlines
Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Display diplomacy and tact in collaborating with a wide variety of colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word, and Project)
Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
Demonstrates organizational and time management skills.
