Duties and Responsibilities
Provide programs/project support for the development of detailed scopes of work to execute project missions and consulting on new missions at SRS. Support and manage new missions, mission changes or a broad range of options which range from project setup and startup to completion to construction mobilization, execution or work to closure of projects at SRS.
Provide guidance for the support of project and program initiatives needs for technical review and procedure requirements. Manage and work with other site departments for developing new program/project initiatives for a period of up to one or more years. Provide support and financial analysis support for these activities. Develop, manage, and consolidate all related budget and documentation requirements to justify and obtain finding for these programs/projects and to manage the implementation and execution of scopes.
Education
Master’s degree in a technical area with 16 years broad experience in engineering, operations, marketing, strategic and business planning, or MBA with a technical undergraduate degree with 16 years experience described above or Technical BS with 20 years as described above
Experience/Skills
•20+ years’ experience in Operations, Maintenance, Construction, Planning and
Coordination of sitewide projects.
•Program or Facility Management experience with plutonium nuclear facility operations, Conduct of Operations and Readiness Reviews
•Demonstrate personal accountability for facility/project schedules, deadlines, budgets, and the safe performance of work
•Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a nuclear
industry/facility.
•Full understanding site procedures and safety protocol is preferred
•Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
•SRS site experience is preferred
Area Security Access:
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. An
active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments.
Work Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10’s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80’s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.
