Per Diem: $700/week
Overview:
A Generation Project Manager is needed to support the Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) Major Project management team at Surry Power Station in Surry, VA.
Manages or supports specific phases of major projects including business development support, site development, permitting support (air, water, state, local, etc...), scope development, major contract negotiations (equipment, engineering or EPC), engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, construction activities, commissioning and transition to commercial operation. Manages all phases of improvement projects including permitting, contract negotiations, engineering contracts, construction contracts, construction activities and commissioning. Projects ranging in size from major complex projects to smaller improvement projects in existing generating facilities. Major complex projects include incore Instrumentation upgrade, 96 inch piping replacements, Main Generator Replacement, Pressurizer modifications, and R-22 Refrigerant (includes chiller and cooling coil replacement). Typically reports to Supervisor of Project Management.

MUST have Nuclear Utility Project Management Experience
MUST be willing to work onsite at Surry Power Station
MUST have experience leading large capital projects full life cycle at a Nuclear Power Station - Ability to develop, manage and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
MUST have prior experience managing project risk through collaboration with the project team, station stakeholders, suppliers, and executive leadership.
MUST have demonstrated ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes.
MUST have prior experience managing large complex projects involving heavy technical engineering and station interface
Soft Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
Communicating regularly with team, station stakeholders, and other departments through use of presentations, log entries, and monthly reports.
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff
Preferred Years of Experience:
7+ years of nuclear industry experience in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management.
Are any certification required:
PMP certification preferred but not required
Education:
Bachelor Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education
Other Education: Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management
Industry Experience:
Candidate must have nuclear industry experience
