GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position is full-time and will support N3B in Los Alamos, NM.

OVERVIEW
Responsible for the management of supplies, maintenance or service subcontracts in accordance with N3B Subcontract Management program and Acquisition Management policies and procedures.
Responsible for the coordination of a given subcontract assigned by designating authority.
Facilitates the development of statements of work, contract exhibits, technical evaluations and schedules.
Develops and submits requisition packages and subcontract modifications to N3B Acquisitions Management.
Coordinates with field Subcontract Technical Representative (STR), stakeholders and requestors on pre-bid walk downs, meetings, prejobs and execution schedule as required.
Provides oversight of subcontract compliance with safety, quality, cost, schedule, security and environmental performance within the terms of the contract.
Track deliverables as required by the subcontract.
Performs accounting duties to include accruals, man-hour reports and invoice reviews and approvals.
Coordinates subcontractor badging, training, translucent dosimetry (TLD), submittals and approvals.
Tracks subcontract Period of Performance and funding.
Maintains a current field file containing all documentation related to the subcontract.
Supports subcontract close out activities.
Participates and provides leadership within a team to develop and improve N3B procurement processes through creative and innovative ideas.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Deliver top-notch solutions for various projects.
Prepare and present technical equipment data sheets, demonstrating your attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Craft technical equipment specifications.
Support field investigations or assessments. Collect data and gather information or documents. Perform standard computations or analysis.
Perform electrical design modeling to develop safe and reliable electrical power system designs including protection requirements.
Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks.
Develop plan layouts, system details, and one-line diagrams for lighting, power, security, and telecommunications systems designs
Oversee development of detailed design drawings and visual aids.
Selection of electrical equipment to meet the system requirements.
Mentors and trains junior engineering staff.
Preparation or modification of various types of reports, specifications, plans, forms, policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields from an ABET-accredited college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in construction plan production, design calculations, project plan development, and technical writing. Have a focus towards leadership and delivering high quality solutions and products.
Experience with load flow, short circuit analysis, and arc flash hazards system analysis software.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Willingness and ability to learn and use SKM, PTW, and/or other design/ analysis related software.
Familiarity with system protection functions and controls in industrial power systems at low voltages (less than 1000v).

CLEARANCE & CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT
To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
