GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our team. This position is full-time and will support the Kesselring Site in West Milton, NY in a hybrid capacity; this role is anticipated to allow up to 40% teleworking.

OVERVIEW
Responsible for maintenance and administration of the Kesselring Site's Electronic Document Libraries of manuals, instructions, and reference documents to support our Navy training mission.
Work with document owners to ensure configuration management through document change processes.
Review and edit documents to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards.
Lead and participate in projects to improve our document control processes and make documents more accessible for increased efficiency and improved user experience.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, etc.).
Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat Professional, Bluebeam Revu, or similar PDF editing software.
Must have strong PC skills.
Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

CLEARANCE & CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT
To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance; an active or very recently active DOE L Clearance is desired.
Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

DESIRED SKILLS
Experience with a variety of publication software and markup languages desired, including XML, SGML, MS Word, and PDF.
Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint (site ownership, page design, lists and libraries, etc.).
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively to the team and external stakeholders.
Experience working in a team environment.
