Emergency Prepareness Professional

GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Emergency Preparedness Professional to join our team. This position is full-time and will support N3B directly in Los Alamos, NM. 

OVERVIEW
Report to the CH-TRU Environmental, Safety and Health organization to implement, execute, and maintain the Emergency Preparedness Program.
Ensure compliance with DOE order 151.1D and other regulatory and N3B requirements.
Interface with all levels of management, customers, and entities external to N3B.
Utilize knowledge of comprehensive emergency management principles, concepts, and practices.
Interpret DOE and other Federal requirements, and develops/recommends N3B policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct training, instruction, and design of emergency preparedness course materials.
Develop, prepare, and implement emergency management policies, plans, procedures, and related documentation.
Ensure a strong commitment to all levels of internal and external stakeholders with the overarching goal of effectively protecting the safety of workers, the public, and the environment.
Conduct emergency drills and exercises, including advanced scenario development.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; however, a combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position’s duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.
Experience knowledge and experience implementing policies and procedures related to emergency management, particularly in a nuclear facility.
Extensive knowledge and experience implementing programs under DOE Order 151.1C/D, Comprehensive Emergency Management System, and DOE Order150.1A Continuity Programs.
Experience in emergency planning, preparedness/disaster recovery.
Experience knowledge of OSHA standards and building and fire codes.
Skill and ability to perform critical strategic tasks and to interpret broad strategic requirements and develop and execute plans to satisfy them.
Ability to communicate effectively at the highest levels.

CLEARANCE & CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT
To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
