[Environmental Manager] Regulatory Compliance Specialist 2/3

Position Summary:

While working to achieve client's LLCC objectives, the Regulatory Compliance Specialist will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner to include protecting the confidentiality and integrity of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This role will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.

This position serves as an advisor for clean-up operations as a result of past processing activities. Specific duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to, conducting environmental protection inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory permits, and analyzing and recommending technical solutions

The Environmental Professional will provide environmental protection support and work with management and staff throughout the Environmental Remediation and CH-TRU organizations to solve environmental compliance issues. Oversees and develops processes necessary for ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.

This position reports to the client's Regulatory Compliance Director.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):

This role will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.

Providing environmental protection technical guidance to Environmental Remediation and CH-TRU operations on stormwater protection.
Conducting environmental protection assessments/walk downs of contaminated sites to determine the scope, constituent content, and physical parameters of the pollutants.
Recommending the most feasible, cost effective, and timely methodology available for remedial action in keeping with environmental protection and regulatory requirements.
Conducting investigations of the site to determine the extent of contamination, defining the alternatives that can be employed to complete the cleanup and insuring that the work will be in accordance with all federal and state regulatory requirements and within the client's's environmental policy.
Understanding the technical aspects of various regulatory requirements and how they impact each clean-up operation.
Experience with implementation of EPA Multisector General Permit and Construction General Permit requirements, implementation, inspections, and initiating corrective actions
Understanding and adhering to all regulatory guidance and governance specific to environmental protection and remediation.
Advising and consulting with all levels of staff throughout the Environmental Remediation and CH-TRU organization in identifying, resolving, and developing solutions to environmental-related problems.
Ensures that assessments are performed in a logical and compliant manner, and ensures that assessment reports are developed, reviewed, and issued in a factually accurate and timely manner.
Ensures that issues identified during performance of assessments are factually accurate, entered into the client's Contractor Assurance System (CAS), and tracked to timely closure.
Works on assignments to develop, implement and maintain procedures and programs designed to minimize deficiencies and ensure compliance with existing Federal, State and local laws, regulations, licenses, permits and ordinances pertaining to health, safety and environmental control.
Keeps abreast of all applicable rules, regulations, and guidance documents.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

Exceptional composition and technical writing skills, teamwork and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous-improvement environment.
Ability to become or be CISEC certified
Education and Experience Required:

Level 2: Bachelors’ degree in a technical discipline combined with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline combined with at least 6 years of relevant experience.

Business Associations:

Level 2: Frequent internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects.

Level 3: Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
