POSITION DESCRIPTION
Provide Project Control and Estimating support services to the NNSA Capital Projects mission being performed by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), LLC. The primary focus of these support efforts shall provide assistance and support to the SRNS NNSA Capital Projects initiative by the valuation of the various project scopes, costs, schedules, and management plans and development of support procedures and processes for project integration interface with engineering and procurement.
DUTIES
Produce estimates in a manner that meets SRNS procedure requirements
Integrate with schedule and supporting cost narrative
Create reasonable and realistic estimates as demonstrated by the basis of backup documentation
Utilize schedule, basis of estimate, and work breakdown structure (WBS) data dictionary
Work with engineers to develop estimates aligned with the proposed technical approach and P6 activities
Identify needed resources and work with Supply Chain to obtain current and accurate pricing for resources as required
Work with Schedulers to load resources from estimate onto correct activities
Participate in review process and implement comments and feedback

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Two-year degree. Candidates not meeting the education requirements may be considered based on additional relevant experience.

​​MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum five years of experience developing estimates for engineering, construction, or performance management baselines
Specific expertise and experience developing estimates in a relevant area of the scope of work (e.g., electrical)
Reviews work for completeness as required by project specifications and scope definitions.
Candidate must have strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
Ability to fulfill and promote L&A Core Values.
Must be a US Citizen.

​​​Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with estimator software. (inEight, Success, etc.)
Proficient use of MS Suite (Excel) ​​​​​
LOCATION
Position will be on-site in Aiken, SC.

Duration of the Contract: One (1) year with the option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year options

Estimates Hours Per Year: 2,000ST / 200OT

Anticipated Work Schedule: 6am - 430pm.

Onsite or Remote? Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense. 100% onsite.
