Job Description: Environmental Management Specialist (Levels I – III)

Salary Range: $95,000 - $145,000

(Salary is dependent on multiple factors, including experience, education, and specific job requirements)

Location: On-site in Richland, Washington

J Vollbrecht Consulting is seeking a resolute and experienced Environmental Management Specialist to join our team on-site in Hanford, WA. This role involves integrating the Environmental Management System (EMS) and sustainability into business practices, guiding the organization through ISO 14001:2015 audit cycles, and developing various environmental communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental management, ISO 14001 certification processes, and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate Environmental Management System (EMS) and sustainability into business practices by involving team members in outreach and communications across the company.
- Maintain ability to obtain ISO14001 certification and guide customer through ISO 14001:2015 audit cycle.
- Facilitate annual Environmental Aspects determination and Environmental Objective Action Plan preparation.
- Serve as Technical Authority for and maintain EMS-related procedures.
- Serve as part of internal ISO/EMS annual assessment team as needed.
- Coordinate input from Environmental Compliance Officers, Environmental Protection managers, Field Services manager, etc. for the Safety Analysis Center (SAC) report, create Thinking Target Zero, Environmental, Safety & Health Tailgate slides, President Zero Accident Council (2.0) presentations, and other EMS communications campaign materials.
- Create multiple communications, weekly, and monthly.
- Continual maintenance and update of the multiple-page EMS website.
- Maintain revision control and perform records management for EMS-related documented information.
- Evaluate and streamline coordination of information between various organizations.
- Align EMS communications with the Carbon Footprint Reduction Initiative (CFRI).
- Advise on program improvement for the CFRI program.
- Develop or review CFRI communication material for distribution throughout organization or provide guidance on communication improvements.
- Develop and/or evaluate CFRI and Sustainability Plans and provide technical support.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in evaluating Environmental Management Systems.
- Proven, current (within the past 5 years) knowledge in ISO 14001:2015.
- Proven, current ISO 14001:2015 4-Day Certified Lead Auditor Training certificate.
- Proven experience in completing audits for ISO 14001:2015 conformance or certification.

In addition to the base salary, Part Time benefits include:

- Simple vacation policy: JVC won’t count the days or limit how much time you take, so long as job performance and communication with client does not suffer.
- Holiday pay is in accordance with the dates defined by our client.
