Job Description: Part-time Startup Readiness Technical Authority
Pay Scale: $25.00/hr - $37.00/hr
Location: On-site in Richland, Washington
JVC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-time Startup Readiness Technical Authority on-site in Richland, WA. This role is ensuring that startup projects are technically sound, compliant with DOE regulations, and positioned for success. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, providing expertise on the implementation of DOE Order 525.1D, a strong understanding of startup ecosystems, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Startup Readiness Technical Authority at a DOE site, providing subject matter expertise on the implementation of DOE Order 525.1D, Verification of Readiness to Start or Restart Nuclear Facilities.
- Issue the Startup Notification Report in accordance with DOE O 425.1D.
- Provide customer interface on readiness-related issues.
- Conduct Readiness Review Determinations.
- Ensure startup procedures and associated forms are up to date and revised as necessary.
- Administer and retain completed readiness documents.
- Maintain and update the content of the Startup Readiness Webpage.
- Support the Conduct of Work manager as necessary.
- Collaborate and provide guidance for facilities developing:
- Startup Plans
- Activity Readiness Plans (ARP)
- Declarations of Readiness
- Readiness Self Assessments
- Plans of Action (POA)
- Implementation Plans
- Final Readiness Reports
Technical Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in project readiness and startup per the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) O 425.1D, Verification of Readiness to Start or Restart Nuclear Facilities.
Desired qualifications:
- Prior experience working at DOE sites or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of DOE Order 425.1D requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in readiness verification.
