[General Manager] Nuclear Programs & Performance Manager- GSE Corporate

GSE Programs & Performance is looking for a Manager for the division primarily responsible for ASME OM Code, Appendix J and Equipment Qualification service areas oversight. The role of the manager for GSE Programs & Performance is to provide supervision and project management for projects within the assigned division. It will be the responsibility of the individual to maintain projects within budget constraints while maintaining high standards of quality in the deliverable products. Additionally, it will be the responsibility of the individual to build and maintain client relationships and work in a business development role continuously identifying, maintaining and growing business.


Pay Range- $130,000 to $160,000 annually, DOE.

Essential Functions:
Leads project teams and team members by providing oversight, guidance and direction in the scope of the assigned technical area.
Plans, assigns and executes projects in accordance with approved protocols, methodologies and company policies.
Identifies project risks and issues and drives for resolution by developing options and recommendations and escalating unresolved issues in a timely manner.
Drives team to ensure that priorities are met and maintain alignment to goals and objectives of the organization and client are met and communicates the appropriate corrective measure to the plan when necessary.
Tracks and maintains financial performance of projects and actively participates in monthly accounting reviews
Continuously monitors and engages team members providing feedback and coaching as necessary and establishes clear expectations for team members.
Works cross-functionally with other technical teams, human resources and accounting as needed.
Engages with clients to build relationships and foster continued support and identifying new opportunities.
Works directly with business development in generating technical content, level of effort and costs for proposals and sales processes.
Attends conferences, seminars and standards committee events as needed in support of continuous learning and business development opportunities.

Education & Experience:
4 Year degree in Engineering related field of study. In lieu of degree a combination of 4 or more years of education and experience related directly to nuclear power engineering programs or previous experience in the US Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program.
Experience in ASME Operations and Maintenance (OM) Code preferred but not required.
Experience and understanding in nuclear engineering programs.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions:
General office environment.
Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable.
Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
