DUTIES
Provide comprehensive cost, schedule, baseline and EVMS Project Controls services on assigned SRNS Project Teams. Project Controls support services include executing the process responsibilities associated with organization, development, analysis, implementation, and maintenance of program/project controls applications and measures necessary for decision making and monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering and trend engineering established objectives. Services would include preparing schedules and performance monitoring status and management reports which identify variances in work execution strategy, provide timely feedback and recommend solutions to management to improve or mitigate problems affecting cost, schedule or estimating issues throughout the life cycle of a project, program, or other work activity. Project Controls services will be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master’s degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and five years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; or
Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and seven years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; or
Associate degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and eleven years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; or
A high school diploma and fifteen years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas.

Experience/Skills:
Candidate must demonstrate significant, broad project controls experience supporting engineering /procurement / construction (EPC) projects in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide direction to others as well as set priorities for self and others.
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of DOE 413 and Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements.
• Demonstrate an advanced proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software and cost
processing software (Cobra preferred).
• Demonstrate the ability to use advanced functions and features of the Microsoft Office software suite.
• Possess problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
• Possess a working knowledge of engineering and construction practices required to support sequencing of work activities.
• Ability to walkdown and interface with personnel and systems in the field.
• Possess the ability to use Acumen Fuse, Acumen Risk, PeopleSoft, and Oracle’s OBIEE is preferred.

Area Security Access:
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Afterward, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Candidates who have possessed an active DOE Clearance (“L” or “Q”) within the past two years are preferred.
