Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Architect opportunity in Santa Fe, NM or Albuquerque, NM.

Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required.

Job Description:
This position is an excellent opportunity for an Architect to be part of a dynamic small business providing full-architectural and engineering design services in northern New Mexico and Albuquerque. This position resides in Santa Fe, NM or Albuquerque, NM, but also provides support to other offices. This position will support Sr. Project Manager and Principal Architect on the design, acquisition and construction of numerous modifications to existing facilities on federal sites, as well as some new facilities throughout New Mexico. Position will assist in the responsibilities for managing and designing projects from inception to completion; including initial scoping requirements, design, construction acquisition, coordinating construction operations, as-built records and tracking. Position will also be responsible for coordinating funding with federal client for design and construction.

Responsibilities:
Support the design and management of projects from concept to construction completion.
Help define project scope.
Interpret and translate customer needs into final designs.
Research and decide on furniture design.
Work closely with team of architects, engineers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
Research and follow industry changes and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, required for Intern Architect or similar required
Architect licensure is a plus
3-15 years of experience
Proficient in Revit
Proficient in AutoCAD: 3 years
Strong collaboration skills working with multiple disciplines and product suppliers
System Furniture design experience is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Must be customer-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with IBC and IEBC is a plus.
Must be able to work efficiently in multi-discipline teams on a variety of project types.
Experience in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, and furnishings.
Works well with customers under tight deadlines.
Sustainable Design and/or LEED certification is a plus.
DOE and DOD design standards and applicable design codes and standards experience is a plus.

Understanding of civil, structural and MEP systems to coordinate their scope of work with all the other building components.
Understanding of how building materials are assembled.

Strong project skills and ability to relate and communicate with clients, subcontractors, co-workers, and project construction team.
Develop strong business etiquette.
Deliver outstanding client service through timely response and proactive solutions.
Work with experienced and accomplished technical team and project managers. Coordination within architectural discipline and with other disciplines is routine.

A federal background security investigation and drug screening will be required for all new hires once employed. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Random drug screening while employed.
