[Engineering Manager] Narrative & BOE Lead

HukariAscendent is a Woman-Owned, Small Business specializing in comprehensive engineering and technical support services associated with commercial nuclear power and Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear activities.

We are seeking a Narrative and BOE Lead to provide assistance and support to the SRNS NNSA Capital Projects initiative through the development, editing, revision, and submittal of Critical Decision 2/3 packages. Also provide support for strategic planning activities relative to the SPD, TFF, and SRPPF Projects.

Work with Program Manager to recruit team including SMEs, Schedulers, and Technical Writers.
Direct all activities required to set up the team for execution phase.
Track status of all CD deliverables.
Direct execution of all workflows to produce estimate, schedule, and supporting narrative on schedule.
Work with Program Manager to resolve any issues preventing progress of work.
Oversee compliance with CD requirements.
Duration: 12 months

Required Qualifications :
Education

Minimum of a Four-year degree
Experience/Skills:

Minimum of 10 years of experience developing schedules for engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and /or project management.
Minimum of 5 years in technical writing experience.
Specific experience in cost narrative and basis of estimate development for DOE projects and proposals.
U.S. Citizenship
Area Security Access: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties while clearance request is processing. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (“L” or “Q”) within the past two years are preferred.
