Project Technical Support Advisor – RFQ#1090

DUTIES
Support the Tritium Operation organization in the Project & Technical Support for all the Operating
facilities at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) National Nuclear Security Administration
(NNSA) Operations. Provide technical assistance in developing, reviewing, approving, and
presenting technical work documents for the safe operation of Tritium. Ensure that the developed
technical documents comply with requirements and codes in the DOE Orders and applicable controls are implemented in field procedures. Conduct Technical Support assessments and maintain program manuals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
HS with 20 years’ experience, BS with 15 years’ experience or MS with 10 years of experience.
An alternate combination of experience/qualification & certification will be considered where the candidate does not have a degree.
Experience/Skills:
• Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 20 years of operation or maintenance experience in the Tritium Facilities (NNSA) or the commercial nuclear industry.
• Candidate preferably will have been certified/qualified in one of the Tritium Facilities as a FLM, Planner or SOM, previous experience with the use and implementation of Department of Energy (DOE) Order (O) 433.1B, Maintenance Management Program for DOE Nuclear Facilities, 1Y-8.20, 4B Manual, 2S Manual Conduct of Operation, and related directives and standards.
• Demonstrated proficiency in development, review and execution of Maintenance programs.
• Candidate must demonstrate personal accountability for facility/project schedules, deadlines, budgets, and the safe performance of work.
• Demonstrated previous Tritium experience is preferred.
Work Hours:
A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). The workweek excludes SRNS holidays.
SRNS Management will determine the best schedule depending on work needs. Each workday has a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Area Security Access:
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (“L” or “Q”) within the past two years are preferred.
