We are seeking a talented and experienced Designer to join our team for the design of a new TRISO fuel fabrication facility in Oak Ridge, TN. As a Designer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) using AutoDesk Plant3D P&ID and Vault. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the facility. Responsibilities

Utilize Plant3D P&ID software to create piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for the TRISO fuel fabrication facility.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications to produce accurate P&IDs.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design process.
Review and revise P&IDs as necessary to reflect design changes and engineering modifications.
Coordinate with other disciplines, such as process, mechanical, and electrical, to integrate their inputs into the P&IDs.
Perform quality checks on completed P&IDs to verify accuracy and adherence to design guidelines.
Participate in design review meetings and provide technical expertise and insights.
Support project managers in maintaining project schedules and deadlines.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Plant3D P&ID software.



Job Requirements
Minimum Security Clearance:
DOE Q Active


Requirements

Formal education in design, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in using Plant3D P&ID software for the creation of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Strong knowledge of TRISO fuel fabrication facility design principles and practices.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to P&ID development.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, sketches, and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise designs.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Familiarity with other 3D modeling software and other relevant design tools is a plus.
Familiarity with chemical/industrial plant design is a plus.
Experience in the nuclear industry is not mandatory.
