Our client is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to work within their company located in Waterford, CT for a 1 year assignment.
Key responsibilities include:
�Monitoring and analysing the electrical systems, preparing technical evaluations, developing maintenance strategies and corrective action plans, and contributing to the creation of design change documentation.
�The role involves addressing a wide range of Electrical Power and I&C issues at both the component and system levels.
�Candidates should possess familiarity with nuclear power plant design, specifically the Electrical Distribution System and/or the Instrumentation and Control Systems.
�Technical project management responsibilities may include scoping, scheduling, budget development, cost tracking, and oversight of complex projects to meet cost and time objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience:
Systems Engineer II: 2-3+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in the applicable discipline.
Systems Engineer III: 5+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in the applicable discipline.
�Knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and practices.
�Ability to design systems, components, or processes to meet specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems.
�Effective oral, written, and graphical communication skills, including technical writing.
�Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments, and analyse and interpret the results to improve processes.
�Organizational and project management skills.
�Proficient personal computer skills, including knowledge of applicable software programs.
To qualify as a Systems Engineer, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
�4-year Engineering Technology degree or 4-year degree in Engineering (not ABET-accredited).
�4-year degree in Physics, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Engineering, or another technical-related discipline.
�4-year non-technical degree and post-graduate degree in Engineering Technology or Engineering (not ABET-accredited).
�Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience accepted in lieu of the preferred degree.
