Electrical & I&C Construction Manager

Job Overview:
The Construction Manager's primary responsibility is the implementation and commissioning of cyber suites across multiple power generating facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the execution of all assigned projects on-site, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
- Maintain an on-site presence for at least 80% of project duration to monitor and resolve activity conflicts.
- Perform construction oversight inspections to ensure vendor and subcontractor work quality meets regulatory and company standards.
- Ensure adherence to Scope of Work (SOW) and report deviations to the Project Manager.
- Provide regular quality inspection reports and status updates to management.
- Communicate feedback and address issues with contractors, engineers, safety personnel, and management.
- Understand and enforce Supplemental Terms & Conditions, especially safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of power generation and pollution control equipment.
- Understanding of construction and operational field work practices, equipment utilization, and scheduling.
- Effective planning, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and make effective decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, technical instructions, and drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with OSHA scaffolding requirements and industry safety practices.
- Minimum of 7 years of industry experience in construction, engineering, and/or management, with at least 3 years in construction management.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Educational Requirements:
- Preferred: College degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Instrumentation and Control (I&C), Cyber Security, or Information Technology (IT).

Experience Requirements:
- Mandatory: Extensive experience in Heavy Electric Utility Construction Management including Civil/Structural, Mechanical Systems, Electrical I&C, and Fire Protection, with a focus on Industrial Control System installation and commissioning.
- Highly Preferred: Field Project Management experience, including Project Controls and SAP knowledge.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong background in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture.
- Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and prioritize tasks while maintaining schedules and budgets.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in an industrial environment across Fossil, Hydro, and Solar sites.

Travel and Work Schedule:
- Willingness to work at various locations across Virginia throughout the assignment.
- Expense reimbursement for hotels, meals, and mileage instead of per diem.
- Self-manage travel between assigned sites as required.
- Work schedule may vary between 5/10s or 6/12s depending on workload.
- 1-year contract
- Pay Range: $84-90/hr
- Mobilization/Demobilization: $500 at the start and end of the assignment
