Job Title: Engineer Senior - Engineering Projects

Location: Richland, WA

Duration: 12 months

Description:

This role will support technical reviews and the development of electrical design and equipment for various projects by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. The Engineer Senior will collaborate with electrical engineers and other technical disciplines in a team environment to ensure the safe operation of a power plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct technical reviews and development of electrical design and equipment for various projects.
Prepare studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations in line with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
Work with electrical engineers and other technical disciplines to support power plant operations.
Interpret and apply codes, standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design documents, specifications, material requisitions, and system descriptions.
Perform special tasks, calculations/studies, and product reviews.
Produce basic and higher-tier drawings and documentation according to established conceptual design and scope.
Communicate effectively with internal and external vendors and peers within a team.
Interface with regulatory agencies as required.
Manage conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks efficiently.
Demonstrate leadership qualities with an emphasis on continuous improvement, team building, and interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and five years of discipline-specific engineering experience; OR a PE license obtained by an accredited examination and five years of discipline-specific engineering experience.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Diverse assignment experience is desirable.
Plant certification is desirable.
In-depth knowledge of discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories, and methods to identify and solve complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses.
Advanced knowledge of related discipline principles.
Proficiency in computer skills, including complex problem-solving methods.
Effective communication skills to relate to a wide variety of backgrounds.
Ability to provide strong technical leadership.
