<span 72="">WEC-TEC Shop Technician<span 72=""> <span 72="">Westinghouse Parts Business has several unique manufacturing shops that are currently looking to fill available entry level Contracting positions in our Quality Inspector group, Machine shop, Electro-Mechanical Assembly shop, Breaker shop, Electrical Testing shop and Repair shop.<span 72=""> <span 72="">Essential job duties:<span 72="">Read and follow drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for machining, assembling, testing, repairing or refurbishing components.<span 72="">Perform work that meets IPC (610, 620, J-Standard) and ANSI(Electrical/Mechanical) requirements, training will be provided.<span 72="">The ability to perform inspections, examinations, and tests according to documented procedures and industry practices.<span 72="">Identify, evaluate, recommend and implement approved processes or equipment improvements.<span 72="">Learn, understand, and practice the appropriate quality, health, and safety procedures applicable to each work assignment.<span 72="">Able to execute new work assignments based on specific instruction received. Work is subject to routine peer checks and final verifications for quality and accuracy. Technician is accountable for own work.<span 72="">Confer with supervisors, planners, or engineers to review work activities or to resolve production problems.<span 72="">Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.<span 72="">Ability to take direction and effectively perform tasks to complete the requests.<span 72=""> <span 72="">The role works under general direction with close supervision in which specific instructions are provided on all new assignments. Initial assignments are in a "training status" and all work is to be checked for quality and accuracy.
