Seeking an intern who wishes to gain real world experience with the various operational and management activities that exist withing a federally regulated nuclear fuel manufacturing facility. Duties and learning experience opportunities include: Job Responsibilities
- Assist with conducting and documenting program tasks, tests, and assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities
- Developing plans and procedures to safeguard regulated nuclear materials
- Audit monitoring systems, safeguards program compliance activities, and documentation for program strength, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvements
- Assist with inventories, maintenance, and deployment of high value security equipment
- Assis with and conduct personnel security inquiries and suitability assessments under supervision of an experienced and qualified team member
- Give presentations and create security refresher training and briefings for site employees
- Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen and undergo a background inquiry and submit to initial and ongoing random drug testing for site mandated fitness for duty access requirements
- Must have a clear criminal record and not be on probation or parole, or awaiting court decision for any criminal charges greater than a normal traffic violation (i.e., speeding, seat belt, parking tickets, etc.)
- Must have a valid state issued driver's license
- Basic business knowledge and skills in MS Windows, Outlook, etc
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Seeking candidates pursuing or completed Bachelor's Degree in History, Political Science, Psychology, International Relations, Business, and Criminal Justice
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
