Environmental Engineer Job Description:This is an opportunity to learn the "ins and outs" of environmental safety and compliance at a nuclear fuel manufacturing facility. The individual will report to the site Environmental Protection Manager. Your Day to Day:

Work closely with an environmental engineer
Review/update regulatory documents for accuracy and compliance
Assist with audits, inspections, sample collection and other regulatory-required tasks related to stormwater, groundwater, hazardous waste, etc.
Provide engineering support to operations and maintenance personnel
Assist with analysis and trending of environmental performance data
Support environmental tasks related to sustainability, permitting, reporting and data management

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

Pursuing or completed Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering
Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Completion of Sophomore year college by May 2024

Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
Ability to communicate effectively with front-line workers, engineers and regulators

Clean Water Act and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System
Clean Air Act
Risk Management Program
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act
Spill Prevention, Countermeasures and Controls Program
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act
Nuclear Regulatory Commission
ISO 14001, Environmental Management System
