Role Summary: The primary function of EQ Engineer role involves project management related duties to ensure the EQ schedules are accurately maintained to support qualification-related commitments to our customers. As a secondary function, this individual will support engineering functions by working closely with subject matter experts in developing test procedures, conducting testing, and documenting results in a report.
What the Day to Day Looks Like:
- Primary duty of ensuring EQ project schedules are current and accurately maintained
- Interfacing with technical leads, project managers, and customers in the coordination of EQ activities
- Attends all project review meetings as interface between EQ Team and Project Team
- Maintains testing schedules for seismic, environmental and EMC testing
- Tracks and reports on EQ spending for each project
- Tracks utilization of EQ test areas
- Secondary duty of supporting equipment qualification testing and analysis used to provide evidence that the equipment tested will perform its safety-related function(s).
- Works with internal and external customers to obtain input to develop test plans, and prepare test reports
- Execute assignments independently and accurately
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or recognized equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in project management related duties
- Experienced in use of P6 Pimavera, Mircrosoft Project or similar scheduling software
- Creative problem solver using engineering fundamentals
- Must possess analytical skills, critical thinking, a passion for attention to details and excellent communication skills including technical writing.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
