This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area or Columbia, SC. No relocation will be provided for this position. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity. Your Day-to-Day as an Electrical I&C Engineer
- Support upgrade projects involving I&C and power activities.
- Implement rapid response plant modifications from the design phase through installation and startup.
- Perform engineering design and analysis and propose solutions to complex problems that are not well defined.
- Coordinate and direct the efforts of designers and craft personnel during implementation of projects.
- Create project schedules and budgets. Track progress and spending.
- Develop scopes of work and bid packages.
- Support and work closely with other plant groups including Operations, Maintenance, Work Management and Reliability Engineering.
- Participate in hazard and safety analysis reviews.
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
- Minimum 0 -3 years of experience
- Field travel as desired to support operating plants and manufacturing as desired
Preferred Knowledge: I&C & Electrical Power including:
- Motor Control Centers
- General power layout for I&C cabinets
- NEC knowledge
- Allen Bradley - Rockwell PLC Software
- Instrumentation and transmitters
- Modbus/Profibus
- Specify equipment independently from vendors
- Safety and Quality
