Mechanical and Layout Designer Job Responsibilities Work in close conjunction with and receive directions from Engineering personnel toward applying engineering concepts of Mechanical, Supports, Civil and / or Structural designs into practicable functional graphics and drafting deliverables. Proficiency in CAD 2D and 3D.Develop moderately complex layouts and digital models incorporating modified concepts in manufacturing, installation and/or construction engineering drawings. Prepare layouts, digital models and drawings for complete items characterized by critical structural, piping and/or mechanical clearances. Specifications can be from sketch or may be statement of end results.Assist with analysis of engineering drawings and models for product manufacturability/constructability which includes checking for: ease of interpretation, proper illustration, necessary data, correct and needed dimensioning, proper tolerances congruent with manufacturing costs and feasibility, proper surface finish and weld symbols, proper material specifications and related note data, proper material application and sizes and related drawing format requirements such as bill of materials, proper sign-off and release of documents via project specific and/or department proceduresCalculate dimensions, tolerances, fits, slopes, weights, bends, etc. using experimental engineering information and formula.Interpret specifications, references, etc. in use of stablished drawing principles.Frequently, take on-site measurement and data, assistance to walk-downs, and support installation, within a nuclear facility.Although position is open for Ascó Layout Group (in Ascó NPP site), candidate should be able to support Vandellós Layout Group (in Vandellós NPP site) when required. Requirements Education: Technician or Vocational qualification certificate (Formación Profesional) related to the technical discipline, or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial projects (minimum 5 years for Nuclear industry Projects).Working experience using the following software: MICROSTATION connect (preferably Connect version and experience with 3D tool). Valuable experience with AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD, TEKLA Structures, PDS, SmartPlant3D.Candidate should be EU citizen or authorized to work in Spain. Able to work within radiological areas and have radiological monitoring document. Occasionally work within confined spaces, wearing respirator mask.Fluent in written and spoken Spanish. English is valuable.
