Sheet metal experience is also necessary as metal fabrication is an integral part of insulating. The insulator craftsman will be capable of directing the work of others. FUNCTIONS: I. Reading blueprints, cut and fit insulation.2. Capable of directing the work of others.3. Covering the insulation to reduce loss or absorption of heat or prevent moisture condensation. RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Participate in Pre-Job Briefings.2. Follow safe work practices- Industrial Safety Procedure.3. Use administrative documents, procedures, data sheets/forms properly.4. Climb and work from ladders and scaffolding.5. Lift minimum of 50 pounds.
