Manufacturing Implementation Manager - this position can be remote with the willingness to travel The Manufacturing Implementation Manager is a new role that will work within the Global Manufacturing Strategic Operations group to bring oversight to and drive accountability for high complexity, high value product and process introductions across GOS Manufacturing. This position is responsible to ensure the coordination of activities related to new product introduction, including daily interaction and collaboration with Manufacturing's Integrated Launch Process, Design Engineering, Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP), Supply Chain Management, and Operations personnel at all GOS Manufacturing sites in Europe and North America. The Manufacturing Implementation Manager will guide new product introduction activities using the Westinghouse Integrated Development process, supported by industry standard tools and templates. Close work is required with GMFG Risk Management, Capital Management, Program and Project Management, and support organizations including Finance, Quality, Licensing and EHS.Your Day to Day:

  • Provides global leadership for large-scale, complex changes in manufacturing technology/strategy, new product development and process implementation
  • Drives all aspects of product introduction activity, influencing and leading work progression out of a cross functional matrix organization
  • Provides a standard approach to global manufacturing capability assessment - value stream mapping analysis
  • Works with manufacturing engineering and project managers on scope, cost estimates, schedule, and other implementation details
  • Represents the Global Manufacturing group on WEC-wide new product introduction
What you need to be successful in this role:
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree with preference for a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management (or relevant experience on one or more of these fields)
  • Minimum 7 years in any combination of Engineering, SCM, or Operations Management. Must have minimum 3-years of experience in nuclear industry and demonstrated ability to manage complex programs and drive continuous improvement
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is desirable.
  • Skills: Cross-functional, working-level understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and program management. Candidates should have SME level understanding of at least one of those areas
  • Competencies: Broad-based thinking, collaborative style, team management & development, teaching & training, executive-level communication skills, problem solving, business acumen, works well across cultures, organization, etc.
