The Manager, LEU+ System Engineering will manage, lead and coordinate systems engineering functions in support of the operations of LEU+. Responsible for planning, directing, developing, implementing and maintaining manufacturing methods and processes in support of operations. Proactively seek, develop and implement initiatives to cost effectively achieve goals and ensure customer satisfaction. Promote and enable professional and technical development of staff. This position is eligible for a Remote working arrangement (within the United States) with periodic travel to the Columbia, SC facility. Your Day to Day:

  • Perform lead role for major business unit integration, order implementation and control, and resolution of problems.
  • Assist program manager in direction and administration of project office. Provide recommendations to project managers as appropriate.
  • Manage, develop, design, maintain and improve the technical programs associated with the proper performance of all plant operations, including how to design and manage complex systems over their life cycles
  • Develop and maintain critical working relationships with key personnel up to and including senior manager/vice-president levels including day‑to‑day contacts.
  • Assign departmental personnel to specific engineering systems/programs or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
  • Develop and maintain LEU+ standard operating procedures, training, manuals, and drawing standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and coordination for the design, implementation and on-going maintenance of the LEU+ plant equipment/system reliability and mechanical integrity programs
  • Create the LEU+ equipment reliability program, mechanical integrity, predictive maintenance program, design review program, obsolescence life cycle management, etc. and perform design and data analysis with regards to each
  • Maintain critical Westinghouse multi-business unit product line relationship, for prompt resolution of requirement conflicts.
  • Promote/support activities of site service manager and other Westinghouse personnel.
  • Direct situations which involve highly complex technical, contractual and financial problems involving both internal and customer interfaces while concurrently managing many tasks. Make technical and commercial decisions as appropriate.
  • Develop creative strategies to address Project needs
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully complete tasks that are accomplished by involving several groups of people who may report through different Westinghouse organizations/management and motivate them to work in integrated/synergistic manner.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
    • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in product line/marketing or projects organizations
  • Desired knowledge of process systems, business unit products, services, commercial operations, financial planning and strategic objectives
