Duration: 12 + Months
Location: Bapchule, AZ 85121
Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday – Friday 5:00PM – 5:30AM, with occasional Saturdays. Will start on day shift initially and transition to nights in January.
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or GED.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
Ability to work with industrial equipment and lab tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
Ability to perform repetitive testing and tasks for extended periods of time.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods in an industrial/warehouse setting.
Description
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move materials as required.
Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
Participate in cross-training in the QA Lab for fuzzy seed analysis as needed. Assist with re-bagging and other tasks as directed.
Ensure that work areas are clean and organized. Follow all safe work practices and maintain compliance with safety standards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, safety boots, N95 mask, and hardhat is required and provided.
Operate and maintain various industrial equipment, including de-linter, dryer, buffer, cleaner, gravity tables, seed tanks, shakers, conveyors, baggers, scales, palletizer, wrapper, forklifts, trucks, and loading ramp. Utilize lab equipment such as temperature probes, pH meters, beakers, distilled water, buffers, and seed counters.
Accurately enter data into the Plant Monitoring Spreadsheet and report any deviations from quality parameters to the Quality Control team.
Conduct inspections on packaged finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Assist in variety cleanouts as needed.
Perform a variety of quality control tests on cottonseed, including truck sampling, sample de-linting, acid percentage, dryer temperature, buffer temperature, bushel weights, pH, cleanout percentages, seed count, tare analysis, seed appearance, bag analysis, and calibration of scales.
