Job Description

Aerotek is looking for an Automation Technician to join their maintenance department on 1st shift. This will be a long-term contract, through Aerotek, until the company shuts down this location in December of 2026. The position involves maintaining and troubleshooting automation systems to keep the production lines running efficiently and facilitating the eventual shutdown of the facility.

Hard Skills

* Project work (robot upgrades/PLC upgrades, equipment upgrades)
* Performing electrical troubleshooting in the assigned manufacturing area including programming and troubleshooting PLCs, Servos, and robotics to eliminate downtime
* Managing machine vision systems
* Partnering with team members to complete continuous improvement activities utilizing Six Sigma methodologies
* Assisting with HMI troubleshooting, upgrading, and installing

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Crestline, Ohio.

Work Environment

This is a large glass manufacturing facility. It's hot in the Summer & cold in the Winter. The full-time employee count is 390, but will decrease to 20 technicians in the Maintenance Department by the shutdown in December 2026.
