What we need:

The Assistant Project Manager position is responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in this capacity. The Prairie Band Construction Assistant Project Manager will help manage the operational and administrative aspects to keep the project on track. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.


We are looking for the ideal candidate in the Kansas City, KS, Ft Leavenworth, and Holton, KS are to work remote, but with travel as needed to multiple KS job sites. US citizenship required for this opportunity


PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:


• Complete the submittal process for each project.

• Participate in inventory efforts when required.

• Attend jobsite meetings and/or move efforts when required.

• Attend weekly project teleconference meetings.

• Help create and obtain relationships with customers, vendors and subcontractors.

• Help order materials and line out subcontractors and suppliers.

• Help manage production and delivery schedules.

• Assist in managing drafting/engineering employees and schedule.

• Keep up with technology and equipment of the industry.

• Process paperwork and/or change orders pertaining to ASI’s, PR’s and RFI’s.

• Create and submit pay applications.

• Take and distribute meeting minutes where required.

• Assist in proposal efforts and estimating.

• Book travel for other team members when required.

• Conversion of PRCL documents into IO estimating software.

• All duties as assigned.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:


• Ability to read equipment drawings and specifications.

• Organizational skills and time management.

• Initial Outfitting experience.

• Knowledge of construction and basic construction processes.

• Basic understanding of certified payroll requirements.

• Experience with project billing/accounting processes.

• Self-motivation.

• Basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Project/Primavera 6.

• Knowledge of and experience with industry typical initial outfitting software.


Education

· 4-year BS degree in Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management/Business Administration, or similar – or equivalent experience.


Preferred

Project Management Certificate – CAPM, PMP, Agile, SCRUM

Previous Project Coordination or Support Experience: 1-3 years of experience in roles like project coordinator, project assistant, or even an internship in project management.

Industry-Specific Experience: Federal Construction projects and/or Commercial Projects
