Position: Control Room Operators
Ideal Candidates must have Large Coal plant experience. Scrubber experience is also preferred. Ovation is the DCS.

Location: Oklahoma

Duration: 1 year contract - could go longer.

Per diem and travel pay included.

Insurance benefits available.

Shift: 40 hours + OT with the possibility of working overtime if the unit is operational.

Schedule: Will eventually move into the DuPont rotation when the employee is ready to stand watch by themselves.

PPE: APS Operators mush have- Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe, Hearing Protection, Gloves, and FR2 Shirts.

Job Notes: This facility is a 1,194 MW facility consisting of 1 Retired Coal unit , 1 Operating Coal Unit ( 594 MW) , and a onsite Combined Cycle plant. The last Operating Coal Unit is set to retire in 2026.

Job Description:

� Operates power plant boiler, turbine, generator, scrubber of coal unit, and auxiliary equipment to produce electric power.
� This position utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services.
� Takes a new perspective to solve complex problems.
� Works independently and receives minimal guidance.
� Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
� Minimum Qualifications: Five or more years of experience in power plant operations or power plant maintenance, including at least one year operating the unit control board with little or no supervision and including at least one unit startup and at least one unit shutdown.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

� Knowledge of power plant operations principles
� Knowledge of power plant control systems- Ovations.
� Knowledge of operating mechanical and electrical equipment
� Knowledge of electricity principles Basic skill level in office productivity applications (such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
� Advanced skill in reading and interpreting diagrams and prints
� Intermediate skill in data acquisition systems Intermediate skill in control systems
� Skill in analyzing and solving complex problems Skill in verbal and written communication.
� Ability to work in a team environment.
� Ability to balance competing and high priority work demands.
� Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervision / management, and external organizations under normal and emergency conditions.
� Ability to understand and follow operating procedures/guidelines, safety and environmental rules and regulations.
� Ability to remain alert to anticipate problems and quickly respond to problems.

Work Environment:

� Work involves may require OT call outs.
� Work involves a rotating shift schedule.
� Work involves exposure to noise.
� Works near energized high voltage electrical equipment.
� Work involves callout.
� Works in an industrial, electrical substation and plant environment.
� Work is confined to a particular workspace which requires relief to leave.

Physical Demands:

� Work involves frequent finger/hand manipulation in using a keyboard and mouse.
� Work involves constant sitting.
� Work involves standing and/or walking in inspecting power plant equipment less than 30% of the time.
� Work involves climbing, crawling, crouching or other non-sitting positions in performing power plant operation duties less than 20% of the time.
