Job Summary:  
PIC Group has an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager for various facilities in the Northeast/New England areas. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of plant facilities and equipment maintenance program of the generation facilities. This position will provide advice to senior plant leadership in operations, maintenance, business, engineering, and environmental functions while ensuring conformance with all facility contracts, permits, and safety regulations. The Maintenance Manager reports to and supports the Project Director for PIC Group, Inc. and will provide leadership and management to the staff in the preparation of budgets and setting performance goals for the generation facilities. Regular travel to power generation facilities in the northeast will be required on a monthly basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of plant facilities and equipment.
•    Manages the implementation of the plant’s Maintenance Program and identifies those items which need improvement or additional work. 
•    Ensure facilities and equipment are always maintained in a safe and efficient operating condition.
•    Oversee the activities of maintenance personnel in performing maintenance and repair activities.
•    Implement the plant’s preventive and predictive maintenance program, including equipment failure records, and provide trend information to the Plant Manager.
•    Ensure continuous improvement through a Reliability Program that analyzes equipment failures to determine the root cause and implement changes to procedures and maintenance practices to prevent recurrence.
•    Ensure that maintenance tasks are planned and scheduled to maximize tool time and minimize delays.
•    Provides task lists and schedules for plant maintenance and contractor personnel for normal operating periods, including 5-year long-range planned outage periods, and forced outage situations.
•    Maintains the Maintenance Manual and ensures that vendor maintenance and repair manuals are properly filed and kept up to date.
•    Provide outage management for both planned and unplanned plant maintenance outages.
•    Sustain the morale and motivation of maintenance personnel and handle employee issues as they arise.
•    Conduct/assists with the completion of annual and on-going performance evaluation and assessments.
•    Assist with the location, screening, and hiring of maintenance personnel.
•    Complete other tasks as requested by the Project Director.

Job Requirements:
•    Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
•    Must have the ability to understand procedures and instructions.
•    Excellent communication, leadership, motivational, and teamwork skills required.
•    Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
•    Working in varied outdoor environments such as all-weather conditions, all noise levels, hazardous conditions, and on the full range of outdoor work surfaces. 
•    The frequent use of protective equipment (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc.) may be required. Work with hazardous materials may also be required. 
•    Working in proximity to high voltages and current with proper training and equipment, operating heavy equipment and rolling stock and entering confined spaces or hazardous environments may be required while often being exposed to equipment and machinery noises. 
•    Duties require walking, standing for extended periods of time, crawling, stooping, sitting, climbing vertical and inclined ladders and stairs, operation of large valves and other tasks requiring up to 100 lbs. of pulling or turning force, and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Exposure to extreme heat and cold. 

Education / Experience:
•    High school diploma required.
•    B.S. degree in Engineering is preferred.
•    5+ years’ work experience supervising hourly and supervisory personnel engaged in highly technical roles is required.
•    5+ years of experience in power plant maintenance/operations preferred.
•    Power generation experience required.
•    Strong electrical and APO processor-based control background, strong rotating equipment experience, and an ability to use computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS) and preventive/predictive maintenance tools is desired.
