System One is currently seeking a Civil Field Engineer (hybrid) on a 12 month contract position for 2 solar projects located near Pueblo, CO.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting 2 solar projects within the South Colorado region near Pueblo, CO.
Will be in the field for significant amounts of time, working with project team enforcing our specifications with the EPC contractor.
Work closely with project field inspectors and the field inspectors and work to report any NCRs to this resource. If the field inspector sees something, they will consult with a field engineer and the field engineer will look a things that are not compliant with the specifications or something that's potentially problematic as the owner of these facilities.
Will be in charge of looking at drawings/specifications and determine what requires action/correction on the EPC contractor side.
Work with lead civil engineer on the project to be able to understand/interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests.
Provide information to the contractors or field construction teams, as they often require information such as specifications and drawings.
Will have responsibility to understand and manage the scope of the contract.

Civil Engineer Requirements:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering from and ABET accredited school
Familiarity with ProjectWise and Microsoft Office
Bluebeam would be preferred as it would be helpful to review EPC contractors' drawings
SAP is a plus
2-3 years of renewable generation project experience
5-7 years civil engineering experience
Willing/able to travel and stay at site for approximately 3 days per week.
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with analytical (thinking) skills to resolve answering questions, troubleshooting design conflicts, etc
Organizational skills
Knowledge of/Familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.

Duration: 12 months
Location: Pueblo, CO area
Pay Rate: $60-65/hr
PD paid for non-local candidates

This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days out in the field and 2 days remote
