Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter for a medium to large-scale project at a grain processing facility in Decatur, IL. This project involves installing 3,000 feet of 36� stainless steel piping for a new building. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with pipefitting, including assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems while working with a variety of tools and machinery in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
� Pipe Assembly & Layouts: Assemble and lay out pipe systems based on blueprints and technical drawings.
� Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to ensure correct layouts and pipe installations.
� Pipe Cutting & Preparation: Use handheld and power tools such as cutting torches, pipe cutters, and machines to cut and prepare pipes.
� Threading & Bending: Perform pipe threading and bending using pipe bending tools and threading machines as required.
� Pipe Fitting & Installation: Install and assemble tubes, fittings, and non-metallic attachments, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
� Joining Piping: Utilize various methods to join pipes, including threading, soldering, brazing, or cementing connections.
� Inspection & Maintenance: Inspect piping systems to detect malfunctions, leaks, or other issues, performing necessary repairs and maintenance.
� Protective Coatings: Apply protective coatings, including paints and other sealants, to prevent corrosion and extend the lifespan of piping systems.
� Forklift Operation: Operate large, oversized forklifts to lift and transport pipes, equipment, and heavy machinery as needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
� Proven experience as a pipefitter in industrial or commercial settings, particularly in large-scale projects.
� Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation methods, and materials, especially stainless steel.
� Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
� Proficiency with pipefitting tools, including handheld tools, power tools, and pipe cutting machines.
� Familiarity with pipe joining techniques such as threading, soldering, brazing, and cementing.
� Experience with safety protocols in an industrial work environment.
� Ability to operate large forklifts and heavy machinery safely.
� Strong attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
� Physical stamina to work in an industrial environment and handle heavy materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
� Certification or training in pipefitting or a related field.
� Experience with grain processing or similar industrial facilities.
� Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.
Working Conditions:
� Full-time, on-site position at a Grain Processing Facility in Decatur, IL.
� Monday to Friday work schedule (some weekend work required). 50+ hours per week.
� Must be able to work in various weather conditions and potentially challenging physical environments.
� Drug test and background screening required prior to employment.
Compensation & Benefits:
� Hourly Rate: $28 + (based on experience)
� Per Diem: $100 per day worked.
� Benefits: Full paid benefits package.
