Job Title: Commercial Carpenter

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter with over 3 years of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings, possess strong problem-solving and math skills, and have expertise in various carpentry techniques and tools. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Responsibilities:
Construct, install, and repair metal framing structures and fixtures
Measure, cut, and shape metal, wood, plastic, and other materials
Finish and hang drywall
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures/fixtures
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Perform framing and rough carpentry as well as trim and finish carpentry tasks as needed

Essential Skills:
3+ years of professional commercial carpentry experience
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
Expertise in various carpentry techniques and tools
Strong problem-solving and math skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Work Environment:
You will operate in a commercial construction environment, working in teams of 3-10 people on job sites. Normal hours are 7am-3:30 pm Monday to Friday, though this may vary throughout the season and day. The dress code includes boots, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. For certain projects, you may need to travel to locations such as Charles City and Waterloo. If you live close to the Mason City or Hampton shop, you can ride in a company van with other team members.

Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason City, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
