Travel Aluminum Welder- TEST/START ASAP!!!!
$150 in per diem up to x7 days per week.
$28-35/hr
They are running 4x10s at this facility - Monday-Thursday. (6am-4:30pm)
Voluntary Overtime Friday-Sunday
Weld Test Information:
Weld test is D1.2 3G and 4G test on 3/8ths plates � MIG using 3/64th wire.
Coupons/plates are about 5 inches long.
Pulsed MIG .
3G (vertical) 18-24 volts 130-200 Amps .
4G (overhead) 19-25 volts 135-205 amps�.
Weld test will be visually inspected, and bend tested.
Weld test at the facility Running uphill beads in 3G and 4G Aluminum weld test using MIG 3/64th wire to D1.2 standard (Pulse). Weld together 5" long aluminum plates or coupons that is 3/8ths thick and there is no back-end strip and gouge it is just a v-groove and open back. Visual test and break test to failure. Please Note: The weld test is done with only pulse arc which runs wire very quickly.

Welding on military boats and barges using the GMAW - Pulse method.
Responsibilities:
MUST HAVE experience on aluminum - must be able to describe this experience and pass a weld test.
Read blueprints and weld to specific instructions.
On the job welding and fabricating on Aluminum in and out of position.
MIG experience is a requirement and pulse arc experience is preferred.
Welding in multiple positions is preferred.
Environment / Shift: Large scale manufacturer of structural steel and aluminum parts for government work including: bridges, dams, nuclear sites, boats and barges.
